Pupil Mentor
We are looking for an experienced person to work alongside our qualified teaching staff within our new primary Alternative Provision HUB based in Wyton, Huntingdonshire, PE28.
Please note - All staff working for Nurture Space will be subject to a full enhanced DBS check and be in receipt of an up to date safeguarding training certificate or willing to undertake certified safeguarding training in accordance with the Safeguarding policies and procedures of Nurture Space Ltd.
Candidates will also need to provide two references, one must be from their most recent employer. Please note that reference checks will be taken up before a position is offered.
Outline of the role:

To support and mentor young children in their personal and social development.

To help build resilience, self esteem and confidence in individual children.

Work alongside others to help plan and deliver activities that engage young children and help them develop a love for learning and the confidence to believe in themselves and to achieve.

This role is a part time position, working a selection of mornings and some afternoons.

Typical hours required to work - 9.30-12.30pm and / or 1pm - 3pm.

Work will be carried out on site at our new Alternative Provision HUB based at Wyton on the Hill Primary School, Huntingdonshire PE28
Experience you will have:

Proven experience of working with Primary age children (KS1/KS2) as a teaching assistant, learning mentor, pastoral support or similar.

Level 3 or equivalent qualification as a teaching or classroom assistant.

Additional training or awareness of working with children who have SEND needs, or have experienced trauma and ACE (Adverse childhood experiences) Would be an advantage.
