Nurture Space HUB

Nurture Space operates its own Alternative Provision HUB which is based at Wyton on the Hill Primary school, Huntingdonshire.

For some children, receiving personalised support away from their mainstream school or class, gives them an emotional break from the pressures that they feel. The HUB provides support to children who are finding mainstream education challenging to access.

The Nurture Space HUB is designed to provide a homely, friendly welcome to children and young people. The work within the HUB is led by qualified teaching staff who have extensive experience of providing a caring and nurturing environment to allow children to feel safe and secure.

Relationship building between adults and children is key to what we do. By being non judgemental and taking the time to really listen and understand children, trust can slowly be built. Through developing trusting relationships, self esteem and self confidence can start to flourish again and children begin to recognise the abilities that they have within themselves and find ways in which they can re engage with learning again.

Group sizes are well considered and kept small to allow children to have the space they need and to access adult support throughout each session. 

​

The HUB operates 5 days a week during term time from 9.30am until 3pm. Referrals can be made from the Local Authority or directly by schools.
